Arsenal head down to Brighton with renewed confidence in the Premier League title race.

While Liverpool remain in control at the top of the table, the Gunners beat Brentford 3-1 on New Year’s Day and duly cut the gap down to six points, albeit Arne Slot’s side still boast a game in hand.

Though there is still a lot of football to play this season, Mikel Arteta’s side will surely have to be perfect from here.

Such is the searing pace set by Liverpool, they can ill-afford to slip-up any further.

The Seagulls, meanwhile, have stalled after a good start to the season.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Brighton vs Arsenal is scheduled for a 5.30pm GMT kick-off time on Saturday 4 January, 2025.

The Amex Stadium in Falmer, near Brighton, will host.

Brighton vs Arsenal team news

Brighton will hope to welcome back Pervis Estupinan and Adam Webster but the likes of James Milner, Jack Hinshelwood and Ferdi Kadioglu are all likely to miss out.

Danny Welbeck has been ruled out of the meeting against his former club and the game comes too soon for £12m signing Diego Gomez to make his debut despite working with the squad.

Arsenal will be without Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu through injury, whilst Jurrien Timber is suspended. Kai Havetz missed the Brentford game due to illness but there is hope he will return.
