Bruno Fernandes has confessed to being "frustrated" by his Manchester United teammates underperforming after Sunday's humbling 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United.
A second-half collapse at St James' Park condemned the Red Devils to their 12th defeat since Ruben Amorim took charge in November, leaving them languishing in 14th in the Premier League table with just six games of the season remaining.
It was another hugely underwhelming afternoon for United, who were outfought, outmuscled and outclassed for the majority of the encounter, with another defensive disaster-class particularly alarming for Amorim.
Captain Fernandes, who has been one of few shining lights for United this season, was quick to admit his frustrations with his teammates after the full-time whistle on Tyneside.
"My teammates - I only get frustrated with them because I know how good they can be," a forlorn Fernandes told Sky Sports.
"I know how tough it is to represent this club. They want so much to give to the club, to win because they know how much they will be remembered if they win something with this club."

With United all but certain to suffer their worst finish in the Premier League era, all hopes rest on success in the Europa League. They face Lyon in the second leg of their quarter-final on Thursday evening following a 2-2 draw in France as they seek silverware and Champions League qualification through Europe's second most prestigious competition.
"On Thursday we go forward, we create a big atmosphere in our stadium, we need to be on the front foot and give everything we have because we want to get to the semi-final," added Fernandes.
"In tough moments we have done great performances against the biggest clubs. In decisive games when everyone is watching. We are Man Utd, we have to step up and do everything to win the game."
United will be reliant on some more Fernandes magic to progress to the Europa League semi-finals, with the Portuguese having managed 32 goal contributions in all competitions this season, despite the poor form of his clubmates.
