Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga has picked up a groin injury and is now out for the rest of the season, the club’s confirmed.
The 22-year-old midfielder had to come off at half-time during their 1–0 win over Getafe on Wednesday, and tests on Thursday showed he’s torn the tendon in his left groin completely – he'll be out for about three months.
It’s a real blow for both him and Madrid, especially with the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona coming up on Saturday. To make things worse, Kylian Mbappé, Ferland Mendy and David Alaba are all fitness doubts too.
Camavinga’s made 34 appearances for Real across all comps this season and was expected to be part of the squad for the Club World Cup in June–July – but he’ll miss that now as well.
Madrid are currently second in LaLiga, trailing Barca by four points with five games to go.
