Alexia Putellas’ status as supreme ruler in the Barcelona Femení team might finally be at an end.
She has already been usurped by Aitana Bonmatí, her teammate for club and country, for the Ballon d’Or but other records have also fallen.
The latest belongs to Caroline Graham Hansen after inspiring the Femení to a 4-0 win over Eibar in Tuesday’s Liga F encounter.
Graham Hansen teed up Salma Paralluelo as Jonatan Giráldez’s side opened the scoring before finding the target in her own right before the interval.
The first-half double saw the Norwegian clinch a new record by racking up 55 combined goals and assists from 36 games in all competitions this season.
In doing so, she replaced Alexia for Barça’s most goal contributions in a single campaign.
