The holders host the visitors from Edinburgh, who are bringing 7,000 supporters to Glasgow’s East End. David Gray’s side beat Celtic when the teams met last month at Easter Road but Celtic will be keen to burst the Hibs bubble.

Brendan Rodgers will be keen on his side continuing their excellent home form by securing a return to Hampden. Celtic beat Hibs on their path to reclaim the Premier Sports League Cup from theRangers.

Celtic Team News

Celtic will be without Liam Scales and Paulo Bernardo for the game through injury. The Portuguese midfielder is still recovering from an ankle knock from the win over Raith Rovers while Scales picked up a facial injury in the win at St Mirren last weekend.

James Forrest wasn’t listed in by the manager when asked about the squad for tomorrow’s game and we know that the veteran winger has been back training for a few weeks, so there’s a chance that he’ll make the bench on Sunday.

Kasper Schmeichel will reclaim the gloves in the Scottish Cup after Viljami Sinisalo stepped into the lineup to make his debut in the last 16 win last month against Raith Rovers.

Auston Trusty has managed to shake off a head knock from last weekend and the USA Internationalist will come back into the team to partner Cameron Carter-Vickers. You would expect Alistair Johnston to start at right back with Jefferey Schlupp at left back.

In midfield, expect Reo Hatate and Arne Engels to start alongside skipper Callum McGregor in the centre of the park. In attack, Daizen Maeda will start through the middle with Jota on the left and Nicolas Kühn on the right.

Adam Idah, Yang and Luke McCowan will be itching to get onto the pitch to make their most felt as Celtic look to return to Hampden and attempt to retain their trophy.

Match Officials

Nick Walsh has been handed the whistle for the game. The 34-year-old refereed Celtic’s wins over Kilmarnock and Raith Rovers in the competition.

Walsh will be assisted by Frank Connor and Colin Drummond. Kevin Clancy is on VAR with Andrew McWilliam assisting.

The game kicks off at 3pm (Celtic Park Time).

Score Prediction

Everyone now knows that Celtic were denied a point at Easter Road due to a disgraceful VAR decision by Alan Muir, who should now be deemed as not being fit and proper to be trusted. Hibs got  rare win because of Muir but that will only serve to strengthen the Celtic resolve and with Brendan Rodgers looking for his 20/20 record in the Scottish Cup, the Bhoys will deliver, comfortably enough in a predicted 3-1 victory.
