“Chase for Champions League” – Enzo Maresca sends message to Chelsea fans on Instagram | OneFootball

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has sent out a message to Chelsea fans via his Instagram account as he desperately asks for help.

The Blues are chasing Champions League qualification this season and also have a very good chance of winning the Conference League after winning in the competition last week.

The Blues beat Copenhagen 2-1 away from home in the first leg of their round of 16 clash in the Conference League last night, but it was not a good performance at all from Enzo Maresca’s side.

There was some positives of course, especially with the two goals. A lovely finish by Reece James was followed up by some good work by youngster Tyrique George to assist Enzo Fernandez to score the second goal.

But unfortunately there were more negatives than positive, with one being Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who was once again just terrible, there is no other way to describe it.

They certainly didn’t look much like the most expensive squad ever assembled in football, which is what UEFA have found them to be this week.

Even still, with the quality in that competition, Chelsea must fancy it, and Maresca also must fancy a Champions League spot for next season judging by his latest Instagram post.

Maresca asks for help

As you can see above, Maresca says to the fans:

‘Home support will be crucial in chase for Champions League’.

Chelsea face Leicester City at Stamford Bridge today so this will be the big chance for the fans to get behind the players and see them to another vital three points. The players must do their part as well and give the fans some belief and something to get behind. Everyone now has a role and a part to play.
