Chelsea have condemned racist abuse directed towards Wes Fofana online.
Fofana shared screenshots of comments left on his Instagram account in the aftermath of last weekend's narrow Premier League defeat to London rivals Arsenal.
On Monday, the Blues hit back at the abuse their centre-back endured and have vowed to work with the authorities on identifying the perpetrators.
"Chelsea Football Club is appalled and disgusted by the recent rise in online racial abuse towards our players," read a club statement.
"The abuse Wes Fofana has been subjected to following yesterday’s fixture is abhorrent and will not be tolerated.
"Wes and all our players have our full support. We will work with the relevant authorities in identifying the perpetrators and take the strongest possible action."
Enzo Maresca's side are next in action at the start of April, when they will host another London counterpart in Tottenham on 3 April.
