Chelsea kept up their perfect record in the Barclays Women’s Super League this season but were given more than a couple of scares by Brighton.
Manchester United 4-0 Liverpool Manchester City 4-0 Leicester City Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Everton Arsenal 4-0 Aston Villa Chelsea 4-2 Brighton & Hove Albion West Ham United 5-2 Crystal Palace
Chelsea ended up with a ninth straight win when beating Brighton 4-2 but it was far from straightforward for the league leaders.
Albion’s Nikita Parris had a couple of good chances for the visitors and Joreyln Carabali was denied on the line by Hannah Hampton, before Sjoeke Nüsken broke the deadlock for Chelsea.
Aggie Beever-Jones pinched the ball off the feet of keeper Sophie Baggaley to net a second for the hosts but Jelena Cankovic got the visitors back in the game as they went in at 2-1 down.
When Lucy Bronze had an effort repelled by Baddeley, it rebounded into the net of the knee of Johanna Rytting Kaneryd.
The lead was cut back to 3-2 with 20 minutes left, Hampton’s attempted clearance hitting Michelle Agyemang and Kiko Seike putting away the loose ball.
Chelsea hit the post, Seike was denied a leveller by Hampton and in added time Nusken nodded home a corner at the near post to finally settle the result.

Manchester United went fourth in the table with four unanswered goals against injury-hit Liverpool.
United struck twice in a 90-second spell just after the hour mark, Elisabeth Terland netting via the far post after a Geyse effort was blocked, then Dominique Jannsen’s ball over the top collected by Leah Galton and her shot could only be helped into the roof of the net by goalkeeper Tegan Micah.
The hosts got a third close to the hour mark, Janssen finding the bottom corner from Galton’s lay-off. Janssen was again involved with a goal, crossing for Melvine Malard to net a far-post volley.

But West Ham hit back to lead 3-2 at half time, Viviane Asseyi, Seraina Piubel and Manuela Pavi all scoring in the dramatic turnaround.
The points were secured in the last ten minutes, Anouk Denton going on a run and firing home from the edge of the box.
Katrina Gorry drilled in the fifth from an acute angle, as the Hammers jumped three places to eighth.
