Chelsea could face competition from Arsenal in their pursuit of River Plate teenager Ian Subiabre according to reports.
The Blues have increasingly tapped into the South American market under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership and have signed a number of talents from the continent.
Andrey Santos is currently thriving on loan at Strasbourg, whilst arguably the two biggest talents from South America in Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez will join this summer.
Chelsea agreed a deal worth €14m last week for 17-year-old Corinthians full back Denner Evangelista, whilst they are also said to pushing for 16-year-old Gremio sensation Gabriel Mec.
It appears the Blues aren’t done there and they’ve been linked with a move for 18-year-old River Plate talent Subiabre, with a meeting said to have taken place with his representatives.

The report adds Chelsea have held talks with Subiabre’s representatives, but no offer has yet been made, whilst Benfica and Villarreal are also said to be interested.
Subiabre is believed to have a €30m release clause in his current contract, although it’s unclear if any suitors are prepared to meet that price at this stage.
The River Plate ace is a right winger, who impressed in the South America under-20 championships, where Argentina finished as runners up.
