Chivas Femenil defeated Rayadas by the minimum difference this Saturday afternoon at El Gigante de Acero, in the last match of the Clausura 2024, a result that meant the second victory for Joaquín 'Quino' Moreno on the Red and White bench, in addition to guaranteeing the fifth place in the standings for Las Chingonas with 32 points, which confirms a new edition of El Clásico de México in the Liguilla of the Liga MX Women's League.
El Rebaño Sagrado were able to intelligently manage the game, in which the Monterrey side tried to take the lead, but were unsuccessful. Special mention goes to Blanca Felix, who had a good performance in her 200th game in charge of Chivas Femenil.
The goals-WHAT A CLASSY HEADER FROM 'JACO'! The fixed tactics paid off for Guadalajara in the 14th minute, this time from the head of Jaqueline Rodríguez, who anticipated a cross at the near post to put the ball in at the opposite post.
Danger!-It took only 6' for Las Chingonas to get their first goal, when 'Gaby' Valenzuela's cross from the right was met by a header in the six-yard box, which Tajonar could barely stop.-THERE'S THE BICENTENNIAL! In the 10th minute, a rebound in the middle of the box fell to Nicole Perez, who unthinkingly fired a low shot to the left post, but Blanca Felix's spectacular save silenced the home side's goal shout.-AGAIN WHITE! Just when it seemed that the Regio's equalizer would come into the play following 'Jaco's' goal, Felix made two monumental saves that silenced the Steel Giant. In the next play, she made another great save to keep her goal from falling. -At 51' came the first for the Red and White: 'Viri' Salazar entered with her batteries charged and appeared between two rivals to hammer the ball that ended up in the goalkeeper's hands.-A couple of plays later, 'Gaby' stole the ball at the entrance of the area and was free to shoot, but it didn't take the necessary direction at 54'.-Montse' Hernández came very close to scoring in her first intervention through a collective play by Las Chingonas that left the Jalisco native alone; at 75' she came like an arrow to hit it with her left foot, but the goalkeeper's save stopped the shot.-WHAT DID YOU DO BLANCA? In the 79th minute, a strong low shot was blocked by the red and white keeper, but the ball rebounded back to the goalkeeper, who responded with a great save to prevent the Rayadas attacker's shot.
