Fortuna Dusseldorf are preparing to trigger the option to buy for the signature of Norwich City loanee Christos Tzolis.
The 22-year-old Greek international joined Fortuna on loan from Norwich last summer and has been a massive player this season for the club.
While Fortuna narrowly missed out on promotion, Tzolis has been in pristine form, scoring 24 times and registering ten assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.
There were suggestions that Fortuna might not want to spend the money on Tzolis after they failed to book their ticket for the German top flight.
However, according to Bild, the club are ready to exercise the option to buy him from Norwich this week.
Norwich inserted a €3.5m purchase option in the loan agreement for Tzolis last season and it is valid until Friday.
Fortuna are prepared to pay the money to the Canaries and sign Tzolis on a permanent deal this summer.
They want the attacker to lead their charge for promotion again next season from the second tier of German football.
