Sergio Conceição opted for a firm approach in his first days as Milan’s manager, as he decided to hold a double training session on the eve of his side’s match against Juventus in Saudi Arabia.

The meeting with the Bianconeri in the Supercoppa Italiana semifinal, scheduled on 3 January, will be Conceição’s first game at the helm, and he wants his players to get familiar with his methods as quickly as possible despite having little time to prepare for the fixture.

The Rossoneri officially announced the Portuguese boss as Fonseca’s replacement on 30 December, and he held his first training at Milanello on that same afternoon before the team travelled to Riyadh.

However, that was just a taste of the new course, which continued with a double training session scheduled for Thursday, when the players are set to practice both in the morning and afternoon, a programme that was never seen under Fonseca or Stefano Pioli, as La Gazzetta dello Sport points out.
