Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to make a couple of eye-catching changes to the starting eleven against Genoa this evening.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that Joaquin Correa and Kristjan Asllani will start the Serie A clash,

There will certainly be one notable name in Inter Milan’s starting eleven this evening.

Josep Martinez will be in the lineup with first-choice goalkeeper Yann Sommer out with a thumb fracture.

However, that will not be the only notable name in the team for the Nerazzurri.

Two Notable Changes To Inter Milan Starting XI Vs Genoa

Firstly, in attack Joaquin Correa is set to start for Inter.

The Argentine has made just one start in Serie A this season. That came in a 5-0 win away to Hellas Verona in November.

By and large, Correa has been a bit part player for the Nerazzurri this season. He was also absent through a muscle injury for several weeks at the start of 2025.

However, with Marcus Thuram set to miss this evening’s match against Genoa, Correa will get the nod.

That means that the likes of Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic will have to settle for a place on the bench.

Then, in midfield, Sky confirm that Hakan Calhanoglu will get a rest. The 31-year-old has looked some way from his best in recent weeks.

Therefore, Kristjan Asllani will start in place of Calhanoglu. He is the Turkish international’s main backup in the Inter squad.
