Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has spent his team’s last couple matches on the sidelines.

The 27-year-old sustained a muscle problem just before the international break. He spent the break recovering from the thigh strain.

Martinez was also unable to come back immediately after the break.

The Argentine was not in the Inter squad against Udinese in Serie A or AC Milan in the Coppa Italia.

But Lautaro Martinez is ready to make his return, the Gazzetta confirm.

The Inter captain is already back in training.

Martinez had been left out of Inter’s squad to face AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semifinals on Wednesday. But that was as much a precaution as anything.

And therefore, there is no doubt that Martinez will be available to face Parma tomorrow.

More than likely, the 27-year-old will begin that Serie A outing on the bench.

The priority for Inter will be to ease Martinez back onto the pitch, in view of next week’s Champions League quarterfinal first leg showdown with Bayern Munich.

But on the other hand, Martinez could already be pushing to start tomorrow, reports the Gazzetta. And it would not be out of the question.
