FC Barcelona are currently going through a crisis as they were unable to get their duo of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor registered with La Liga by the 31st December deadline.
As a result, these two players have been deregistered by La Liga and have also been removed from the official website of the top Spanish league. However, the Catalans are still confident that they can solve this issue by tomorrow, 3rd January.
Meanwhile, the two players are going to feel the effects of this situation more keenly than any other involved party, as this can end up causing them not to play any competitive match till next season. Similarly, Dani Olmo can also leave the club as a free agent if he decides to as he has a stipulation in his contract for this purpose.
However, the Spaniard does not seem like thinking of taking advantage of this clause and he remains fully committed to Barcelona. This was clear from his social media message on the New Year’s Eve.
Now, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, he has provided another indication in this regard, after having joined Hansi Flick’s team for the first session of the year 2025.
Before starting this session, he interacted with the fans and signed some autographs when these fans asked him about his registration situation. To these questions, he responded: “Everything is fine”.
However, he did not respond when some of these fans expressed their hopes that things would be resolved soon and he would stay at Barcelona.
The Blaugranes themselves will be hoping for the same as they had agreed to pay €47 million fixed and promised some variables when they signed him last summer.
He was unable to play some games after his arrival because of his lack of registration, and the Catalans got him registered only after the serious injury to Andreas Christensen ruled the defender out for several months.
