On Wednesday, Conmebol confirmed the dates for the clashes between Flamengo and Argentine outfit Defensa y Justicia.
The duels pertaining to the Copa Libertadores round-of-16 will take place on Wednesday, July 14th and 21st.
The first game will be in Argentina, with the return leg taking place at the Maracanã thanks to Flamengo winning their group.
Due to the problems that Argentina is facing in combating the coronavirus, the exact locations for the confrontation and Flamengo training have not yet been confirmed.
However, Defensa y Justicia should play the game at their home ground, the Estádio Norberto “Tito” Tomaghello, which would hold 10,500 fans when full.
Though Defensa y Justicia are the reigning Copa Sudamericana champions, Flamengo are considered strong favourites to advance to the quarter-finals, where they would face the winners of Olimpia and Internacional.
