West Ham are advancing with talks for Dutch midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi.
The 19 year old attacking midfielder, who turns 20 next month, is understood to be a key target as the club look to strengthen the squad for new boss Graham Potter.
Potter is having a significant say on who the club target, with his right-hand-man and analyst Kyle Macaulay joining from Chelsea – signaling that Banzuzi is a player the Head Coach admires.
Talks for the OH Leuven player have been ongoing for a number of weeks, however its now understood that a breakthrough has been reached, with the club closing in on the first signing under the Potter era in east London.
Although details on the type of deal at this stage are unknown, its believed that Karren Brady has been key in the negotiations, as we look to bring the Dutch U21 international to the Premier League this January.
It is hoped a deal can be secured for the player soon.
