Het Niewusblad is reporting that Victor Udoh is set to leave Antwerp for the Premier League. The 20-year-old Nigerian winger, who was recently moved to the reserves by the club, will leave the Belgian side to sign for Southampton on deadline day. The report suggests he will initially play for the Southampton reserve side.
Udoh has been a bit part player for the Belgian side in recent years. Most of his appearances have come from the bench. During the 2023/2024 campaign he made 14 appearances and grabbed one assist. So far this season he has also made 14 appearances. Antwerp fans may be slightly concerned that the side are allowing another winger to leave. This winter they have already lost Jacob Ondrejka to Parma. The Swedish winger was having a strong season with seven goals and five assists in 26 games. With Michel-Ange Balikwisha also absent with an injury, the side are light on wide players at the moment.
