England thrashed Belgium 5-0 at Ashton Gate to keep their spot at the top of the UEFA Women’s Nations League.

Lucy Bronze kicked things off with a header from a Lauren James cross that deflected off Amber Tysiak and sailed over goalkeeper Nicky Evrard.

Alessia Russo hit the woodwork, but just before the break, the Lionesses doubled their lead. Bronze flicked the ball on, and Millie Bright bundled it in.

In the second half, it was 3-0 when Beth Mead and Keira Walsh linked up, and Beth Mead then set up Aggie Beever-Jones for a tap-in.

Jess Park took her chance to make it 4-0, and after hitting the post earlier, Keira Walsh scored her first-ever goal for England.

Sarina Wiegman’s team will take on the Red Flames in Leuven on Tuesday.
