England Women’s U-19s head coach Lauren Smith has named a 21-strong squad for the final round of EURO qualifying.
The Young Lionesses will host and play Belgium, Austria and Ukraine as they look to secure a place at the 2025 UEFA Women’s U19 EURO finals. Only the team which finishes top of the qualifying group will make it through to the finals, which are taking place in Poland in June.
After coming through round one of qualifying in November last year, England’s final three qualifying fixtures will take place at St. George’s Park, as the Young Lionesses look to progress to the finals for the second year in a row.
Smith told englandfootball.com: “We’re really looking forward to hosting the other three nations for the final round of EURO qualifying.”
“Playing with home support will be a great experience and hopefully give the players that added boost as we look to secure our place at this summer’s EUROs. These types of fixtures are crucial for young player development so the players can experience representing their country with that added level of pressure.”
