Everton striker Salomon Rondon was delighted with his double for their FA Cup victory against Boreham Wood.
Everton will face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup quarter-finals later this month after the Venezuelan striker opened the scoring with a near-post finish and scored with a header, late on.
Rondon had scored once for the club prior to Thursday night and the experienced forward was delighted to be back among the goals.
“It was a perfect night," he told evertontv. “I was ready for this night as I had gone a long time without scoring.
“I try to score every time I can play. It is special to score at Goodison Park. The manager has just told me to keep training and doing my best every training session.
“When you get a chance, you have to take it. I did that and I'm really happy."
