Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer had already had a standout performance last weekend.

Against Udinese, the 36-year-old was absolutely vital for Inter escaping with the three points.

Inter had conceded a couple of golden chances against the Friulani. But Sommer was able to keep them out, in borderline miraculous fashion.

Therefore, Inter won that match 2-1.

Inter did not win against Parma yesterday. From 2-0 up at halftime, they had to settle for a point.

However, the Gazzetta argue, Yann Sommer was the last player responsible for that.

The former Bayern Munich and Borussia Monchengladbach keeper stayed alert throughout the first half as Parma threatened the counterattack, making a couple important interventions.

And Sommer could do little for either of Parma’s goals.

Particularly on the second Parma goal. There, the strike from Jacob Ondrejka took a wicked deflection off of Matteo Darmian that completely wrong-footed the Inter keeper.
