Serie A side Bologna have seen defender Sam Beukema impress this season and Chelsea are the latest club to have been left enamoured by the Dutchman.

Gianluca di Marzio had reported over the weekend that during Bologna’s 2-1 win over Milan, the Blues had sent scouts to watch the centre-back.

Get Italian Football News have now been informed that Chelsea’s mission wasn’t to scout Beukema specifically, as they were also eyeing a host of other players on display during the game. But Enzo Maresca’s side were specifically left ‘impressed’ by Beukema, who had done well in the game, helping the Rossoblu to a vital win.

The London giants aren’t the only club interested in the centre-back and Milan also see him as a key target for the summer. There is also interest from Inter and Juventus, with Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid also keeping tabs on the 26-year-old, who has made a mark at the club since last season.
