Former Gunner Mika Biereth has been making some headlines recently after his blistering start to life with new club AS Monaco.
After leaving Arsenal for Sturm Graz in the summer, Biereth scored 12 goals and assisted a further five in 19 games with the Austrian side. That turned out to be enough for Monaco to make a move in January, with Sturm making a quick profit on the 22-year-old.
Biereth has since gone on to score 10 goals in 10 games with Monaco, including three hat-tricks against AJ Auxerre, FC Nantes, and Stade Reims.

Sami Mokbel reports for the Daily Mail that the FA have been alerted to Biereth’s form, with the association aware of the striker’s potential availability to play for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Biereth explained his international options recently, saying: “It’s a unique situation. There are not many players who can play for four countries.
“My mother was born and raised in Bosnia, my father is Danish-German, and I have lived in England.”

The assumption was that Biereth would play for Denmark, having represented the country a number of times at various youth levels.
But the youngster hasn’t been called up by the Denmark u21s for every recent break, missing out in November, for example. And he hasn’t been called up by the senior side at all.
The upcoming March break could be a key one for the two countries to make their cases to Biereth.
