The Nigerian striker, now donning the colours of OGC Nice, has been making waves with his prolific goal-scoring spree in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats. With four goals in the last five matches, Terem Moffi has emerged as one of the most lethal finishers since the beginning of March.
It's been 15 months since his departure from Brittany to the sunny shores of the Côte d’Azur. The recent encounter against his former club Lorient (0-3) held sentimental value for the striker, who, due to unforeseen circumstances, missed the fixture in March 2023 and was limited to a mere 7-minute cameo in the earlier clash at the Moustoir in the current season.
Moffi back in form
While OGC Nice may have experienced some struggles of late, Moffi has been a shining beacon of consistency. Despite the team's modest run of form with just one win in nine outings and the lowest goal tally in 2024 (a mere 9 goals), Moffi has climbed to the 7th spot in the league's goal-scoring charts, notching up 10 goals so far this season.
Now, "physically, he's fine", insists his coach Francesco Fraioli after some initial struggles "He's played some top-level matches, like at Lens, where he sacrificed himself for the team.
And Terem Moffi is in fine form. Last weekend, "he even scored a brace and his team won 3-2", said the Italian coach, following an internal match behind closed doors due to OM's run in the Europa League against Benfica.
