Former Barcelona star sends message to two players after Real Sociedad clash | OneFootball

Ex-Barcelona star Rafael Márquez has on Sunday evening revealed his pride with the latest efforts of two members of Hansi Flick’s squad.

This comes owing to developments in the Blaugrana’s meeting with Real Sociedad.

Barca of course marked their return to action earlier today, welcoming Imanol’s Sociedad to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, the evening’s hosts emerged dominant victors, by four goals to nil.

The clash marked a particularly special one for two members of Hansi Flick’s ranks, namely Gerard Martín, and Marc Casadó.

This comes after both players netted their first goals in senior football, to guide Barcelona into an early advantage on Sunday.

And such exploits, as alluded to above, did not go at all unnoticed on the part of Rafael Márquez.

Former Blaugrana defender Márquez for his part spent recent years training both Martín and Casadó, whilst at the helm of Barca Atlètic.

After it was suggested on social media that the tactician was no doubt ‘proud’ of his two former pupils, Márquez responded, writing:

‘More than you can imagine!!’
