Oscar Mingueza has developed into one of the most reliable right-backs in La Liga since leaving FC Barcelona for Celta Vigo.
The former La Masia talent, who made his first-team debut for Barça under Ronald Koeman, is a permanent fixture in the lineup for the Galician club, and has racked up three goals and five assists from 26 appearances.
Barcelona have been attentive to Mingueza’s development at Celta Vigo for some time now. After all, the Catalans still retain a 50% future sell-on clause for the 25-year-old.
In addition, the Blaugrana are also in the market for a right-back in the summer and Mingueza could be an option.
Indeed, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona, Aston Villa, AC Milan, and RB Leipzig are among the clubs that have shown interest in Mingueza.
The versatile defender has a contract with Celta Vigo until 2026, which consists of a €20 million release clause.

Speaking after Celta’s 2-1 victory over Leganes earlier today – where he scored his third goal of the season – Mingueza made his stance on his future clear.
“I have always said that I am very happy here. There was talk about me in the winter transfer window, but I have focused on my work, doing my best to help the team. I am eager to have a great season and finish this campaign strongly,” he stated.
With Barcelona on the lookout for a new right-back in the summer, Mingueza could be an option, considering that they can sign him for just €10 million – thanks to his €20 million release clause and the club retaining 50% future sale rights.
Furthermore, Mingueza happens to be a versatile operator, capable of playing across the backline and as a wing-back as well – something that Barça are looking for in their new signing.
However, Barcelona are looking at several players at this point and no concrete decision has been made. But Mingueza continues to be an option.
