Back-to-back losses to Valencia and Arsenal have finally put Carlo Ancelotti on the brink, with multiple reports suggesting that the club are looking to replace the Italian manager at the end of the season.
In the wake of recent results, it appears the club are worried about complacency and poor attitude. Therefore, replacing Ancelotti has emerged as a very likely scenario.
Needless to say, Xabi Alonso has emerged as the prime candidate to replace Alonso, as the Spaniard has been on the crosshair of Real Madrid for quite some time now.
However, a recent report from Defensa Central has offered some interesting perspective.
It appears the Real Madrid hierarchy is keen on having an option other than Xabi Alonso, in their bid to find a new manager.

To that end, Jurgen Klopp has emerged as a surprise option for Los Blancos, as they scour the market for Ancelotti’s successor.
Formerly of Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, Klopp is a proven winner, who has won Premier League, Bundesliga and Champions League titles during his career.
During his time at Liverpool, Klopp forged a winning team out of the Merseysiders and would have easily dominated English football, had it not been for Manchester City’s sheer brilliance.
Klopp is also known as an excellent man-manager, which is an essential trait to have for any Real Madrid head coach, considering the sheer range of personalities one has to deal with.
In fact, Klopp may offer Real Madrid the right balance of tactical prowess and man-management abilities, as opposed to Alonso, who is still relatively young and doesn’t have experience of managing one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
That said, it hasn’t been long since Klopp joined the Red Bull Group as the Global Sports Director and it remains unlikely the German would want to get back into coaching so soon after leaving Liverpool.
