EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea already agree terms for player to sign in the summer!

It’s been a very rough few season for Chelsea since the new ownership group came in to the club and took the reigns. Things have been much better this season, but the last couple of seasons before that it has been pretty toxic within the club and the fan base have been feeling it.

The atmosphere is once again a lot better this season, and a lot of that is down to the new manager who came in this summer, Enzo Maresca.

Arriving from Leicester City after getting them promoted, there weren’t a lot of expectations at the start of this season for Chelsea at all. But against all odds, Maresca has steered Chelsea to second place in the Premier League table for Christmas time, and that really is quite incredible.

Reo-Coker full of praise

Maresca enjoying a good spell

Former West Ham midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has been full of praise for Maresca speaking on BBC Radio Five Live this weekend.

He said: “At the start of the season, with all the noise around the club, I thought it would be too chaotic for any manager of any talent to sort out their issues. So full credit to Enzo Maresca because he has gone in there and made lots of tough decisions.

“Maresca has picked his team and been very honest and firm. He has established himself as the alpha at the club and they have started performing.

“They have surprised many people this year and are probably only one or two players away from being a team that can mount a Premier League title for years to come.”
