Mary Fowler's left-footed finish against Leicester City has been shortlisted for the Barclays Women's Super League Goal of the Month award for December.

With City already 3-0 up, the Australian put the game beyond doubt in 58th minute with a strike to remember.

After Leila Ouahabi's cross was half cleared, Fowler shifted her feet and hammered the ball home to seal an emphatic victory at the Joie Stadium in our first assignment of a mixed month.

It marked her fourth goal in all competitions this season and she has since added to her tally with a penalty at Everton.
