Brentford head coach Thomas Frank said that his side need to build on their impressive home form so far this season.

The Bees return to Gtech Community Stadium for the final time in 2024 as fourth-placed Nottingham Forest make the trip to west London.

While Brentford have the best home record in the Premier League, only Chelsea and Liverpool have picked up more points on the road than the weekend's visitors, who Frank describes as "an incredibly good team."

“I’m very confident that we will go out and perform on Saturday," said the Bees head coach.

"We’re playing at home, the Gtech, our fortress, and we need to build on that.

“It’s a big goal but I believe we can do it. We know it will be difficult, we’re facing an incredibly good team, and they’ve been unbelievable this season so far.

“They went to Anfield - a difficult place - and beat them [Liverpool], they went to Old Trafford - another difficult place - and beat them [Manchester United]. They went to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and drew 1-1.

“They’re very good at what they do. They sit a little bit lower and press high in spells. They defend unbelievably well in open play and set-pieces, and they are such a threat on counters.

“It’s a team we respect massively and it’ll probably be quite tough to break them down."

Key to Forest's success has been striker Chris Wood who, alongside Yoane Wissa, is one of just five players to hit double figures for goals in the Premier League so far this season.

“Chris Wood is playing probably some of the best football of his life, he looks fantastic so far," added Frank.

“Well done to Chris Wood and well done to Nuno [Espírito Santo, Forest head coach] for getting him in top form. He’s not just an experienced player but also an experienced finisher. He’s clever, calm and composed.

“He leads the team and I like what I see from him but I hope we can keep him quiet on Saturday."
