Between Como tomorrow and Lecce at the end of the month, Inter Milan could have an “easy” run of Serie A matches on the horizon.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They note that things will then get a lot tougher in February for the Nerazzurri.
Inter know full well that there are no truly easy matches in Serie A.
The Italian top flight is full of teams with quality players, strong tactical organization, and no lack of motivation to fight for Serie A survival or dreams of European football.
But certainly, some matches feel more winnable than others.
Inter’s match against Como tomorrow is certainly one of those. And then next weekend, Inter travel to Sardinia to take on Cagliari, a match in a similar category.
In January, Inter will begin their 2025 by facing Atalanta in the Supercoppa Italiana. They could then be in for an encounter with Juventus or AC Milan in the final.
However, after that Inter take on Venezia. Next up is the match against Bologna – currently in the Champions League it must be said, and in good form in the league.
Outings against Empoli and Lecce follow. Inter will alternate those with Champions League matches against Sparta Prague and Monaco.
This won’t be “easy” by any means as a run of fixtures. Particularly considering the sheer amount of matches.
But at the start of February, Inter take on city rivals AC Milan in the second derby of the season.
Then, there is the Coppa Italia clash with Lazio. Followed by matches against Juventus and Napoli in the space of a couple weeks.
And there will in all likelihood also be a Champions League round of sixteen first leg in the mix as well.
Therefore, the coming few weeks will certainly feel like a more manageable run for Inter.
