Gabriel Jesus has struggled mightily to find his feet this season for Arsenal, failing to score in the Premier League up to this point.
Despite that, the former Manchester City forward broke his duck against Crystal Palace in the League Cup Wednesday evening.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta spoke during the week about his confidence in Jesus to rediscover his form in front of goal, and that confidence appears to have been a prophecy.
After Crystal Palace took a shock lead at the Emirates this evening, Jesus opened the floodgates of his season with a second-half hat-trick to singlehandedly turn the quarterfinal around for the Gunners.
All three goals were superbly taken, though the second may have been offside...
Luckily for him there was no VAR on the night, and he will take home the match ball and a bag full of confidence.
Is the hard-working forward we once knew and loved officially back?
