Galatasaray interested in Crystal Palace target Batista Mendy | OneFootball

According to a report by Foot Mercato, Galatasaray SK are interested in former FC Nantes and Angers SCO defensive midfielder Batista Mendy (24).

The Frenchman who currently plays his football in Turkey for Trabzonspor has become a key target for Galatasaray as the Süper Lig giants look to consolidate their grip on a title they have held for the past two seasons in a row.

Mendy only joined Trabzonspor last summer when he left Angers for a reported fee of €5 million, however, he has settled into life in a new country making 43 appearances for the club and even scored a goal against İstanbul Başakşehir F.K..

Batista Mendy formerly in the sights of Crystal Palace?

His performances had earned him interest from the Premier League in April where it was reported that Crystal Palace had made an offer for the midfielder. However, it may take some fee for Trabzonspor to part with Mendy as he has a contract running until 2027.
