The countdown to the 2024 festivities is on, and we’ve brought some Christmas gift ideas to you for any special football fans in your life.

Lewes FC is often cited as many supporters’ second favourite team. The Rooks are 100 percent fan-owned, and any profits made go directly back into the running of the club. In 2017, Lewes made history by becoming the first club in the world to pay and resource its men’s and women’s teams equally. Dubbed Equality FC, the East Sussex side has won the hearts of so many.

Any committed football fan will be able to appreciate the work Lewes does for the club and beyond. We have two Christmas gift ideas right here for Rooks supporters and neutral football fans alike that will also help raise money for charity.

Lewes FC away shirt

Earlier this year, Lewes FC announced a two-year partnership with eco-friendly toilet paper company Who Gives A Crap. The profit-for-purpose organisation will be their front-of-shirt sponsor for two years.

Lewes’ away strip is designed to ‘both look good and do good.’ The club donates 50 percent of net profits from away shirt sales to the Who Gives A Crap foundation. Roughly 40 percent of the world’s population does not have access to a toilet, and almost 800 children under five die per day as a result of poor water and sanitation. Who Gives A Crap have made it their mission to ensure everyone has access to toilets and clean water in our lifetime.

You can buy the Lewes FC away shirt from the club store right here.

Lewes FC ownership

As the club is completely community-run, anyone can become a Lewes FC owner. There are three ownership level options to purchase for yourself, but you can also gift the standard ownership package to someone else.

Ownership Gifting is £50 and includes online discounts, a weekly newsletter and live streamed matches, among other benefits. Lewes also sends donations to Who Gives A Crap with every ownership sign-up.
