Defender Yann Bisseck is set to double his wages at Inter Milan after he signs a long-term contract extension with the Nerazzurri.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report the German’s earnings will jump to €1.5 million net per season plus add-ons on a new five-year deal.
Inter have been pushing to tie Bisseck down on a new long-term contract.
The Nerazzurri had already been in talks with the 23-year-old’s representatives prior to Wednesday’s Champions League match against Arsenal.
And Bisseck’s performance in that match certainly made clear why Inter want to secure his future.
The German is now a fully-fledged part of the first team plans at Inter.
Bisseck joined Inter in the summer of 2023. He came in from Danish side Aarhus.
And while there was a settling-in period. Bisseck has become a player who Inter coach Simone Inzaghi fully trusts to start matches.
And the German has repaid the coach’s trust with performances like those against Arsenal and Manchester City.
Naturally, with this increase in status and playing time at Inter, Bisseck will see his wages go up.
That is one of the main purposes of the new contract for the 23-year-old.
The expiry of Bisseck’s deal will only move back by one year. His current deal runs until the end of June 2028, while he is ready to sign one that expires at the end of June 2029.
But the new long-term contract will send a message.
Currently Bisseck earns around €750,000 net per season.
The 23-year-old is still on the same contract that he signed when he first joined Inter.
But that will rise significantly once Bisseck puts pen to paper on an extension.
Bisseck will earn €1.5 million net per season plus add-ons.
