‘Have to score more’ – Vinícius Jr. pokes fun at Real Madrid teammate Kylian Mbappé | OneFootball

A humorous exchange played out between star Real Madrid pair Vinícius Jr. and Kylian Mbappé on Tuesday.

As much came during an open training session held in Spain’s capital this morning.

Ahead of their post-Christmas return to the pitch against Valencia later this week, Real Madrid’s stars were this morning put through their paces by Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff once more.

The session, which took place at Valdebebas, was open to the public, giving rise to a large collection of Blancos supporters in the stands.

Making use of a rare opportunity to bring fans and players together, the media presence in attendance therefore pulled several members of Real’s star-studded squad in for interviews.

And, during one such discussion, the previously-mentioned exchange between Vinícius Jr. and Kylian Mbappé played out.

After it was put to the pair by a reporter that:

“[You have] 28 goals between you two so far,” Mbappé replied by assuring: “There should be more!”

And Vinícius, sensing the opportunity to have some lighthearted fun at the expense of his oft-criticised attacking partner-in-crime, went on to add:

“Yes, he has to score a lot more!”, giving rise to laughter on the part of both players.
