‘He’s in demand’ – Marseille sporting director Medhi Benatia on Luis Henrique | OneFootball

Speaking in a lengthy interview with La Provence, Olympique de Marseille director of football Medhi Benatia acknowledged the interest shown in winger Luis Henrique (23), but says the Brazilian “needs to do much more” if he is to have a “great career at OM, or elsewhere”. “There’s a lot of noise around him, he’s in demand. I met with him two weeks ago to talk about the current situation and the fact that it wasn’t satisfactory,” said Benatia on Henrique’s recent performances with OM. “But Luis is a great guy, he’s positive and always laughing. The problem, as I told him, is that if he wants to have a great career, at OM or elsewhere, he’s going to have to do more.”The likes of Bayern Munich, Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle United have shown interest in the Brazilian attacker, but Inter Milan have been leading the race since it was reported that Henrique had agreed personal terms with the Serie A club. However, as reported by Matteo Moretto, there is currently a difference of around €10 million between Inter and Marseille’s valuation of the player, who has made 29 appearances for OM this season, scoring seven goals.
