‘I will renew my contract’ – Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal commits his future to the club | OneFootball

Few rises in football have been as meteoric as that of Lamine Yamal. Since bursting onto the scene last season, and announcing himself to the world at the Euros, the youngster has quickly become one of the world’s best, and most coveted footballers.

A lot of this rise has been down to the trust Barcelona have shown in him, by giving such a young star the platform to shine and make a name for himself.

It is likely due to this commitment that Yamal is now showing just how committed to the club he is in return, as now he is already talking about his contract renewal.

As per Diario Sport, the young star said “I don’t know when the contract will be signed, but it will be soon. Barça is the club of my life, I hope to renew and stay as long as possible. I want to play in La Liga and at Barça. Yes, I will renew my contract.“

Barcelona fans will likely be thrilled to hear this news, as Yamal has quickly become one of the most sought-after players in world football, and will have plenty of clubs desperate to sign him.

He also spoke about his ambition for this season, stating “We are going to give everything to make it the best year of our lives.” Although from an outside perspective, it’s difficult to see how 2024 can be topped for the 17-year-old.
