The UEFA Champions League game between FC Barcelona and Inter Milan just recently concluded at the Montjuic Stadium. Undoubtedly a game that invited a lot of excitement, but the final product was perhaps even better than what most people expected. However, no winner between Barcelona or Inter Milan has been decided just yet.

The final score was 3-3 in this first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final clash, and it does a good job in terms of reflecting a game where both teams had their spells of domination. For Barcelona, however, there is now a big hurdle ahead to get a win at the San Siro when they end up visiting that stadium.

However, there was a point in this game where Barça looked to have been completely out of ideas. Inter Milan were playing their football comfortably, and the Catalan giants needed a big response. Fortunately, Lamine Yamal was on the pitch and he delivered on the big stage.

A world-class goal, one which was practically created out of nothing, was scored by the youngster and that completely allowed Barcelona to wake up again. Even apart from that goal, however, Yamal was simply on a whole other level in this game.

In fact, even Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was in awe after the game. As quoted by Barça Times, the Serie A coach stated that he had not seen a player like Lamine Yamal in almost a decade:

“I haven’t seen a player like Lamine Yamal in last 8-9 years.”

While this is definitely massive praise for the youngster, Yamal himself would be focused on the second-leg now. With so much to play for, Barcelona will need to put all external noise to one side and make sure that they play much better than they did even today.

Unfortunately, however, they will have to make do without French defender Jules Kounde. Injured in the recent game against Inter Milan, the Barcelona defender is undoubtedly a big loss for such a massive game up ahead.
