Simone Inzaghi wants Inter to ‘keep the ball and take the initiative away’ from Bayern Munich on their own turf in the Champions League quarter-final.
It kicks off at the Allianz Arena at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).
The second leg will be at San Siro on April 16.

“We need a great Inter that is determined, organised, hard-working and sharp, because a team like Bayern can always cause us problems. That is when we need to be a real team,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.
Bayern Munich have a remarkable home record in the Champions League, unbeaten here in 22 games, but Inzaghi believes Inter can out-play them on German soil this evening.
“We must do well when we’re on the ball, because Bayern control possession well, are very aggressive in the pressing off the ball, so we need to pass it cleanly, keep the ball and take the initiative away from them.”
Vincent Kompany might’ve adjusted the Bayern Munich tactics to counter Inter’s midfield strength, putting Raphael Guerreiro on Hakan Calhanoglu, so how will Inzaghi respond?
“The midfield and the whole team must work hard, those who start and the players who come off the bench, who as always will be important.”
