Jagiellonia Białystok announced the signing of two players on Tuesday, with Portuguese midfielder Nené and young Polish defender Mateusz Skrzypczak both joining the Żółto-Czerwoni on two-year deals.
26-year-old Nené joins Jaga from Azores-based CD Santa Clara, with whom he spent three years. Rui Filipe Correia da Cunha (as is his full name) played 36 times last season, including four appearances in the club’s unsuccessful Europa Conference League qualification run. He is also a former Portugal U19 International.
Jagiellonia is his first foreign club, in which he will wear the number 7 jersey.
21-year-old defender Skrzypczak joins the club from Lech Poznań, after making seven appearances for the Kolejorz last season in all competitions.
The former U20 youth international previously spent time on loan at both Puszcza Niepołomice and Stomil Olsztyn, and made his senior Lech debut against his new club, in a 3-3 draw during the 2018/19 season.
Skrzypczak will wear the number 72 shirt in Białystok.
Both players’ contracts run until 2024, with the option to extend for another season.
