Chivas captain Jesús Molina has called on the Flock’s players to take responsibility for their sluggish start to the 2021 Apertura season.
The Guadalajara side have taken just six points from their opening six games to leave them sitting outside the play-off places on goal difference.
Coming on the back of a disappointing campaign in the Clausura, calls have been growing for manager Víctor Manuel Vucetich to get the sack.
However, speaking at a press conference, Molina was adamant that the current problems lie at the feet of him and his team-mates.
“I think it is unfair, because how many managers have passed with Chivas and who have had a tour and have been champions elsewhere?,” the midfielder argued.
“We all have our percentage of responsibility and we all have a role.
“We continue to carry managers between our legs and that is unfair. Those of us inside have to take charge.”
The 33-year-old, who won Liga MX titles with Santos Laguna and América earlier in his career, has yet to lift any silverware since joining Chivas before the 2019 Clausura.
