Jorge Jesus has reportedly included Flamengo players Bruno Henrique and Willian Arão on his shopping list after being confirmed as manager of Fenerbahçe.
The 67-year-old was officially unveiled on Thursday after agreeing a one-year deal with the Turkish club.
Jesus admitted his primary goal is to bring the Süper Lig title back to Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium for the first time since 2013/14.
Fenerbahçe finished second in the table this past season, eight points behind champions Trabzonspor.
And to help him achieve this aim, the Portugal native wants to reunite with Flamengo duo Henrique and Arão.
That’s according to Turkish newspaper Milliyet, who also claim that William Carvalho from Real Betis and Sporting CP’s Islam Slimani are other prime targets.
Winger Henrique and holding midfielder Arão were key members of the Rubro-Negro side that won a historic five trophies under Jesus in 2019/20.
We will have to wait and see how seriously Fenerbahçe test Flamengo’s resolve, with both players under contract with the Mengão until the end of 2023.
