The 25-year-old was confirmed on a five-and-a-half year deal, emphasising his commitment to the club, and vowed to pick up where he left off eighteen months ago.
After the player did the media rounds, the Superstar from Portugal will have certainly cheered up a lot of Celts on a dreary evening in Glasgow with his Instagram posted.
Jota spoke to The Celtic Star’s Conor Spence (who asked the first three questions today) and some other members of the fan media at Celtic Park. Watch Jota’s fan media conference below…
If there is was any doubt about the re-signing, Jota’s reference to Celtic Park being ‘home’ and ‘Paradise’ will set them aside. The player will be eager to get up to speed as soon as he can.
Jota will be unable to play on Wednesday as he is not registered but the player will almost certainly earn his place in Brendan’s squad for the next phase of the competition. The likelihood is that Jota makes his second Celtic debut at Fir Park on Sunday as Brendan’s side travel to face Motherwell.
