Sunday’s Serie A game between Juventus and Fiorentina was interrupted for two minutes due to racist chants directed at the Old Lady’s striker, Dusan Vlahovic.
Referee Maurizio Mariani was forced to interrupt a Serie A match between Juventus and Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium because racist chants from the away end targeted ex-Viola forward Vlahovic.

Play was halted at minute 7 after loud chants targeting Vlahovic were heard in the stadium.
The Juventus forward was called ‘gipsy’ by Fiorentina supporters in the away end.
The referee gathered the players in central midfield, spoke to the captains, and then addressed the coaches on the touchline.
The stadium announcer urged fans to stop the racist chants.
Insults continued, but without racist remarks, as the Juventus striker was branded a ‘piece of s***’ by Fiorentina fans.
The Viola ultras are not at the Allianz Stadium as they boycotted the trip to Turin due to Juventus’ policy on ticket sales.
Vlahovic scored 49 goals in 108 Fiorentina games before joining their rivals Juventus in an €80m deal in January 2022.
