Juventus Weigh Loanees, Key On One Role for Early June

Every team will be able to exploit the new transfer market window at the beginning of June, but it’ll be particularly meaningful for the two sides that participate in the Club World Cup, Juventus and Inter. The Bianconeri have a lot more balls in the air, Calciomercato informs.

Since the contracts won’t be tweaked or extended automatically because of the new competition, a few of their loanees are set to head back to their respective teams on June 30th, shortly after the end of the group stage.

Juventus need to decide whether to act early in particular on Francisco Conceiçao and Randal Kolo Muani. Their deals don’t envisage options to buy. The former has a €30M release clause. Instead, Chelsea always expected to have Renato Veiga back. It could happen even before the start of the cup.

If the Old Lady completes an early signing, it’ll most likely be a defender. They are paper-thin following the switch to a three-man line. Gleison Bremer might be back from injury, but it’d be dangerous to lean too heavily on him right away. It probably won’t be David Hancko due to the competition. Such a negotiation has lost steam. But the front office is also tracking more attainable Serie A targets.

Our Take on Juventus

It’d be silly if some players left mid-competition, and, while it hasn’t been imposed by FIFA, perhaps teams will agree to short-term extensions of the loan spells. They are surely playing with fire in the back at the moment. They might go for a talent from a minnow whose acquisition wouldn’t alter their other plans.
