After overcoming horrendous conditions at Pittodrie on Wednesday night, the weather at Celtic Park this afternoon were positively tropical in comparison.
And whilst the weather may have been different today, the end result was the same - another victory and another three points for the champions.
Goals from Arne Engels and Kyogo, intersected by an own-goal from Joe Newell, gave the Celts a 3-0 victory over Hibernian which puts Brendan Rodgers’ side nine points clear at the top of the table.
Despite the one-sided scoreline, Hibernian managed to forge a number of good opportunities throughout the match, with Celtic’s No. 1, Kasper Schmeichel on top form to keep the efforts out.
His performance earned the Danish internationalist the Man of the Match award, and speaking to Celtic TV alongside Alistair Johnston after today’s match, the Celtic goalkeeper explained that the most important thing to him is to be part of a winning team.
“Goalkeeping has evolved,” he said. “It’s rare that you have games like that where you have a lot of saves. Everything is with your feet these days.
“I think that’s the role that I play here, but my job is to keep the ball out of the net and today was a good day.
'At the end of the day it’s all about winning. Clean sheets are nice but they’re not the most important thing.'
“They’re not the end of the world, but it always gives you a platform to go and win.
“My job is to keep the team in the game and it’s up to this lot to go and finish the game off."
Celtic’s opener came from Arne Engels after some good play between Nicolas Kuhn and Alistair Johnston, with the latter speaking after the match about the relationship that he is building with Kuhn on the right wing for the Hoops.
He added: “I’ve built a really connection with Nic, he understands when to play me on the overlap.
“Guys know that when I get to the line, they’ve to get to the near post. I think it was a fairly routine finish for Arne in the end.
“I was happy for him to get on the scoresheet and for us to get that early goal.”
