Moise Kean recognises his incredible campaign is down to feeling ‘the confidence of the coach and fans,’ while Dodo insists Fiorentina is ‘a big family.’

The striker is on stunning form at the moment, also bagging a brace in Italy’s 3-3 Nations League quarter-final draw with Germany last week.

The goal this afternoon came out of nowhere, as Kean pounced on an error from Isak Hien and sprinted forward from the centre-circle to beat Marco Carnesecchi, sealing the 1-0 victory over Atalanta.

“I am in good shape and must thank my teammates. We must continue giving 100 per cent, it was tough at moments today, but this is a great squad,” Kean told DAZN.

He was asked if he preferred the goal or his new track, having released ‘Bombay’ on streaming services with a specially-filmed video this week?

“The goal was better! It is always wonderful to play with these teammates, in a stadium like this. We hope to do more and keep this going.”

Kean has scored 16 Serie A goals this season, but 21 in all competition for Fiorentina, an astonishing run of form considering his previous struggles at Juventus.

“Confidence is the big difference, anyone who plays football knows how important it is to have the confidence of the coach and the fans. I enjoy my football, that’s important too,” concluded Kean.

This victory follows on from the 3-0 win over Juventus and puts Fiorentina firmly back in the race for a top four finish, with Champions League qualification.

They are also still in the Conference League with a quarter-final fixture coming up against Celje on April 10 and 17.

“We must keep working, we know there are eight games left in the Serie A season, so we must take it one game at a time. We have an objective in mind, but have to take it one game at a time,” Dodo told DAZN.

He had his son there with him for the post-match interviews, who promptly took Kean’s Man of the Match trophy and waved it above his head.

“Kean is our hitman, the team plays for him, while he makes the most of the chances that are created. This is a big family,” smiled Dodo.
