Kicker report this evening that Augsburg will make a push to sign 29-year-old Hoffenheim defender Kevin Vogt before Tuesday’s deadline.
Sporting director Stefan Reuter is in the market for further reinforcements following Augsburg’s poor start to the Bundesliga season that has seen them pick up one point from their opening three games, having conceded eight.
Vogt played under Augsburg head coach Markus Weinzierl from 2012 to 2014 and whilst a move for the German would be difficult, Reuter believes it isn’t impossible: “In the last days of the transfer window, crazy things sometimes happen.”
